LED vs Fluorescent

Fluorescent - A fluorescent lamp or a fluorescent tube is a low pressure mercury-vapor gas- discharge lamp.  Fluorescent tube light gives out light when fluorescent material coated inside the tube is energized by electrons flowing from one electrode to the other.

Fluorescent Tube Light basically has a starter, and a ballast. Starter is used to develop high voltage across the tube to initiate current flow. The ballast limits the current.

LED - LED stands for light-emitting-diode.  An LED emits light when a simple forward acceleration of electricity runs through it. The reason why it is more efficient is because it simply requires less electricity to function. There are a few reasons why the LED is so successful including: Price, they almost never burn out, they can light in many colors, they shine very bright, and the small amount of electricity they use.

Why use our bulbs?

  • Immediate reduction in lighting bill of up to 70%
  • In most cases, your current fixture can be retrofitted
  • No yearly bulb/ballast replacements
  • Long lifespan
  • Ecologically friendly and recyclable
  • Contains no mercury or other hazardous chemicals to dispose of
  • Durable and rugged, resistant to external impacts
  • Produces virtually no heat
